Able Services completed a very successful tenth straight BOMA International Conference and “The Every Building Show.” A true partner of BOMA International as well as 24 regional chapters, Able values its relationship with this leading association. We participated in several educational sessions as well as displayed on the trade show floor. We congratulate BOMA International and its members on the best conference in the commercial real estate industry. Able is pleased to report that four of the highest honored TOBY winners recognized Tuesday evening at the International Toby Award dinner were partners of Able and serviced by our company. The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY) Award honors 85 regional winners many of whom Able provides services competing in several categories. Able Services is a proud member of the ISSA. We’re taking steps toward becoming a CIMS Certified – Green Building Service Provider. By making a commitment to quality and documenting processes in facility settings, we’re formalizing how we deliver services. The Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) is a comprehensive certification that applies to all aspects of our business, including: management, operations, performance systems, and sustainability. Compliance with the Standard demonstrates that Able Services is structured to consistently provide quality services that are designed to deliver an extraordinary experience for our customers. We anticipate achieving this certification later this quarter and look forward to adding the CIMS designation to our industry-leading facility services offering. (more…)

Able Services participated in the National Apartment Show in Las Vegas this June. High and low-rise living continues to increase throughout the United States and this market segment requires a specialized service which we provide. Able recently hired industry specialist Adam Bartolomeo to assist us in developing policies and procedures to bring value to our customers within this market segment. (more…)

We are pleased to announce the addition of Anthony Lackey, Chief Information Officer, to the Able leadership team. Anthony joined Able Services in June and will be reporting directly to Richard Mulkerrins and Paul Saconne. In this role he will serve as head of all technology at Able Services.
According to Rich Mulkerrins, President of Able Building Maintenance, the appointment of Lackey comes at the perfect time in Able’s history. “We welcome Anthony to the leadership team at a time of tremendous growth. We are investing both talent and resources to create an infrastructure that will carry us into the next chapter in Able’s history and beyond.”
Lackey joins Able Service with over 17 years of experience. He understands our industry and has a proven track record of identifying and implementing technology solutions for our business. Able Engineering Services has been providing services in the Dallas and Houston areas for the past six years. Don O’Neil and his team have done a superb job providing “best in class” O&M services to our client base throughout the state. This service excellence has driven continued growth. In an effort to support this growth and continue to deliver an extremely high level of service to our customer base we recently hired Felix Tijerina. Felix will complement Don and in conjunction with the rest of our team solidify our position as the premier building engineering company in the state. Additionally Able Building Maintenance (Janitorial Division) recently opened a new Austin Texas office. This office will support the entire state of Texas as we continue to expose and grow this segment of our business. (more…)

Able recently participated in our 4th Northeast Buildings & Facilities Management Show & Conference. This event featured over 300 exhibitors displaying products and services necessary for the operation, management, maintenance and renovation of buildings and facilities in the greater New England region. Running concurrently with the trade show is an educational conference featuring 30 individual one-hour talks covering a wide range of topics including: LEED, Green, Sustainability, Energy, Building Commissioning, Facility Maintenance, Construction and Renovation Planning. Able Services attended APPA 2011 in Atlanta, which is the premier event for educational facilities professionals. It was a fantastic networking and learning experience for our company and we found extreme value with the interaction with facilities officers, directors, and management personnel at every level. The conference focused on the latest trends, challenges and solutions facing facilities organizations within colleges and universities; K-12 private academies and public school systems; libraries, museums, and other institutions of learning.
